Governance Committee

The Governance Committee is responsible for upholding high standards of conduct for councillors and officers within Telford and Wrekin. It monitors the Members' Code of Conduct, handles requests for dispensations from councillors regarding personal interests, and investigates alleged breaches of the code. The committee also oversees the conduct of parish councillors, organises training on codes of conduct and registers of interests, and reviews the Council's Constitution, recommending changes to Full Council. Additionally, it supports the member development strategy.
