About
The Equalities Cabinet Advisory Group advises the council on how to meet its duties under the Equality Act and promote equality. It reviews council departments to ensure services cater for individuals with protected characteristics and considers actions to advance equality beyond legal requirements. The group also reviews the council's Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion Policy. This is an advisory, private, non-decision-making body that meets at least quarterly, with its findings presented to the Cabinet annually.
