About

The Licensing and Appeals Panel is responsible for determining applications and complaints under the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005. Panels are formed on a hearing-by-hearing basis, with members selected from the Licensing Committee. These panels, consisting of three to five members, exercise the committee's functions for specific applications or complaints. Their decisions directly affect those applying for or subject to licensing and gambling regulations within the council's jurisdiction.
