Purpose

A decision is required by Cabinet on the publication of
statutory notices for the proposal to amalgamate Globe Primary and
Rachel Keeling Nursery Schools.
During the statutory notice period, legal objections can be set by
any consultee, which would be considered before any final
determination is made by the Mayor in Cabinet.
A first stage public consultation has been carried out on the
proposal to amalgamate Globe Primary and Rachel Keeling Nursery
Schools into an all-through 3 to 11 years’ primary school,
with effect from 1st September 2025.

DECISION

1.     
Considers the report and its
supporting documents, particularly the statutory notice (Appendix
1) and the Equality Assessments (Appendices 2 and 3), along with
comments made by respondents to the Statutory Notice (Appendix
6).

2.     
Agrees to the amalgamation
(merger) of Globe Primary and Rachel Keeling Nursery Schools to
form an all-through 3 to 11 years’ primary school, taking
effect from 1 September 2025.
