A Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) may be put into place by
a Local Authority if antisocial behaviour is of a persistent
nature, unreasonable and has a detrimental impact upon the local
community. It defines an area where specific behaviours are
prohibited. The decision was to renew the order after research and
consultation confirmed a continuing need for it to be in place to
reduce the detriment to the local community.
