Purpose

The Tower Hamlets Young People’s Advocacy Service is
undergoing a service review to plan a transformative recommission
to improve the Council’s support offer for our children in
our care. Due to unforeseen circumstances and unexpected staff
changes this item requests to extend the current service contract
from 1st February until 1st December 2024 to ensure there is ample
time to complete the service review, recommission and
implementation of the new contract ensuring minimal disruption for
our young people.

DECISION
 
1.   
Approve the direct contract award request
for the Tower Hamlets Young People’s
Advocacy service for six months from the 1st of February
2024 to 1st of August 2024 with a value of
£55,572.
 
2.   
Note the specific equalities considerations as set out in
Paragraph 4.1 of the report.
