Purpose

To
recommend to Full Council the Council’s Budget and the
revised Medium Term Financial Strategy following public
consultation (stage 4 of 4 in setting the forthcoming year’s
budget).

Decision

RESOLVED – That Full Council be
recommended:
 

That consideration be given to the changes to the
base budget along with the assumptions and approach detailed
throughout the report be approved.

 

That the responses to the budget consultation be
approved.

 

That the revenue budget be approved.

 

That the rolling forward of the capital programme
including additional gross funding of £529,000 for new
schemes listed within the report be approved.

 

That the increase in the ‘Basic Amount’
of Council Tax of £6.03 (2.9%) for 2025/26 for a Band D
property be approved.

 

That the Pay Policy Statement 2025/26 set out in
Appendix E be approved.
