Purpose

To
provide funding for youth services/facilities within the Borough of
Tunbridge Wells from the £60,000 budget as identified in the
Strategic Plan approved by Full Council on 26 February
2025. 

Decision

RESOLVED:
 
1.     
That funding determined by the Portfolio Holder and
dependent on need is provided to Parish/Town Councils within the
Borough of Tunbridge Wells for the provision of youth
services/facilities from the £60,000 budget as
identified  in the Strategic Plan
approved by Full Council on 26 February 2025 be
approved. 
 
2.     
That delegated authority be given to the Head of
Facilities and Community Hubs in consultation with the Portfolio
Holder for Housing and Communities to set up a panel to allocate
the funding referred to in recommendation 1 above dependent on the
need of each to Parish/Town Councils or Wards within the Borough be
approved.

 
3.     
That the Head of Facilities and Community Hubs
continue to work with the YMCA and for the YMCA to provide a Youth
Worker and training to Parish/Town Councils or Wards as required be
approved.
