Purpose

Warm
Homes Grant (WH: LG) is a Government grant funded scheme with the
ambition of upgrading five million homes over the next
three-to-five years to cut bills for families and deliver warmer
homes to reduce fuel poverty.  It will
also help with reducing carbon emissions in support of the net zero
target by 2050.  Tunbridge Wells Borough
Council has been allocated an in principle funding of
£1,382,964.00 to deliver the scheme over the next three years
to 31 March 2028.

Decision

RESOLVED –

 

That the Warm Homes: Local Grant allocation of
£1,382,964.00 to deliver the scheme in accordance with the
scheme’s
mobilisation and delivery guidance be approved.

 

That delegated authority be given to the Head of
Housing, Health and Environment, in consultation with the
Procurement Manager, for the selection and direct appointment of
E.ON UK Green Funding Solutions Ltd, as the
Council’s delivery partner, from the
Fusion21 Decarbonisation Framework be approved

 

That delegated authority be given to the Head of
Legal Partnership to complete all legal formalities and to
negotiate, execute, and complete all necessary agreements and deeds
to give effect to these recommendations be approved.

 

REASON FOR DECISION:
To upgrade homes that would cut bills for families
and deliver warmer warms to reduce fuel poverty.
