Purpose

Crematorium Lodge is to be converted from residential use to
provide workspace for Crematorium staff on development of the new
facility. The current lease between TWBC & Tunbridge Wells
Property Holdings should be terminated by means of a lease
surrender after the end of the current Tenancy agreement and the
asset returned to the possession of TWBC.
 

Decision

RESOLVED –

 

That the lease surrender proposal referred to in the
report and appendices be approved.

 

That the Director of Finance, Policy and
Development, the Monitoring Officer and the Cabinet Member for
Finance and Property be delegated authority to negotiate and agree
the proposed transaction be approved.

 

That the Head of Mid Kent Services be authorised to
negotiate and complete all necessary and ancillary legal
documentation and formalities to give effect to these
recommendations be approved.

 
REASON FOR DECISION:  To allow the Lodge to be used by
TWBC as premises for grounds maintenance contractor’s
staff.
