Purpose

The
purpose of this report is to provide information to support the
recommendation for the release of developer contributions to
supplement Active Travel England funding that has been awarded to
the Better Streets project in the St John’s and St
James’ area of Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Decision

RESOLVED – That a total of
£5,709.22 from contributions secured pursuant to a planning
obligation relating to planning permission TW/16/503755 in respect
of the development at the Former Dairy Crest site on St
John’s Road (A26), Royal Tunbridge Wells is utilised to
supplement Active Travel England funding awarded for the Better
Streets project for the St John’s and St James’ areas
of Royal Tunbridge Wells be approved. 
The funding will be utilised  to
undertake additional community engagement on proposed
designs/measures for the area.
