Purpose
Final
recommendations following a review of the Council’s Committee
structure.
Decision
RESOLVED – That Full Council be
recommended
1. That
the results of the research activities carried out and the results
of the Councillor Survey be noted.
2. That
the recommendations, committee structure and number of seats set
out in Section 4 of the report be approved.
3. That
any consequential changes to the Constitution and/or Terms of
Reference for any Committee or Board, because of the new
arrangements, will be brought to Full Council at its meeting on
Wednesday 3 April 2024 be noted.
4. That
a review of the new arrangements be undertaken after 12 months by
the Head of Governance and Democratic Services be
approved.
REASON FOR DECISION: To restructure the
Council’s Governance arrangements following the changes in
number of Councillors and Wards to take effect in May 2024.
