Purpose

The Ministry of Housing, Communities
& Local Government (MCHLG) began a consultation on 30 July 2024
on changes to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). The
consultation ends on 24 September 2024.
 
This report considers the proposed
changes to the NPPF and sets out the suggested response to the
consultation to be submitted on behalf of TWBC.

Decision

RESOLVED:
 

1.    
That the current consultation by the Ministry for
Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) on changes to the
National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and other changes to the
planning system be noted.
 

2.    
That the suggested responses/comments set out in the
table of officer comments presented in Appendix A be submitted, on
or before the 24th of September 2024, as Tunbridge Wells
Borough Council’s (TWBC’s) response to the consultation be
approved.
