The Children and Families Scrutiny Committee reviews and scrutinises the council's services for children and families. It examines areas such as children's social care, including looked-after children and care leavers, and early help services. The committee also scrutinises education provision, from early years to post-16, including safeguarding and special educational needs, as well as the Integrated Disability Service. Its role is to provide oversight and make recommendations to improve these vital services.
