The Executive Director of Transport approved the drawdown of £114,796 of CRSTS funding on 05/05/2026 to develop a business case for the Micromobility Physical Parking Infrastructure project. This decision aims to address issues with micromobility parking availability and tidiness. The funding will be used to develop the business case for physical parking infrastructure.

The Director of Place awarded the Future Places Fund establishment advisory services Phase 1 contract to CBRE Limited for £52,500 (Exclusive of VAT and disbursements) on 01/05/2026. This contract is to help design a new regional investment fund.

The Director of Operations, in consultation with the Directors of the Unitary Authorities, allocated £5,737,021 to Skills Bootcamps between April 2026 and July 2027 on 15/05/2026. This decision also included approving the 26/27 delivery plan and policy changes. The allocation supports continued Skills Bootcamps delivery in priority sectors.

The West of England Combined Authority Committee approved the non-statutory designation of the West Innovation Arc as a Mayoral Development Zone on 05/06/2026. They also approved key principles for the zone and endorsed the establishment of an interim delivery team. The Committee noted the direction towards establishing a statutory Mayoral Development Corporation.

The Committee approved the West of England Skills Strategy on 05/06/2026. This strategy sets out the Combined Authority's approach to creating a joined-up employment and skills system. The strategy focuses on young people, adults, and lifelong learning.
