The Children and Young People's Services Scrutiny
Committee is responsible for the overview and scrutiny of the
Cabinet portfolios areas set out below (full details of
Cabinet portfolio responsibilities are available via the
website).

Children, Young People and Learning portfolio (apart from public
health for children)
·
Skills (part of the Economy and Skills portfolio)
The
Scrutiny Committee also includes four ‘co-opted’
members, representing parent governors and the Church of England
and Roman Catholic Diocesan. These members may be involved in all
aspects of the work of the Committee but may only vote on issues
relating to the education of children and young people.
