Purpose

The Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic
Development will consider the Highways Stage 1 and 2 design for the
Warwick Avenue public realm scheme, within the Paddington Place
Plan Capital Programme.

Summary of Decision: The Cabinet Member
for Planning and Economic Development has the scope of the Warwick Avenue scheme and
investment of £550,000 from the Paddington Place Plan
Capital Programme to
progress the design to Highways Stage 2.
 
Reasons for Decision: Warwick Avenue is
identified in the Paddington Public Realm Strategy and is key to
delivering its objectives by creating legible, desirable and
accessible routes for walking and cycling, improving north-south
connection to nearby areas and linking Warwick Avenue to Little
Venice and Paddington and beyond. This expenditure is required to
develop the project design.
