Decision Taken: The Cabinet Member for Finance
and Council Reform has approved the request to proceed with
procuring new solutions and the strategy proposed.
 
 
Reasons for Decision: The decision to proceed
with the procurement exercise is vital. The existing print and mail
solutions allow the Council and its staff to communicate with
residents via letters, planning application notices, and to print
items such as external display notices impacting on
communities. 
 
The solutions are fundamental to the Council,
which allows services/ teams to process and share information as
quickly as possible.  Communication can
also be made via different channels, from traditional post
operations to hybrid mail solutions, allowing staff to send letters
remotely, without the need for paper, envelopes, or a
stamp.  
 
The procurement process will be in accordance
with the Council’s governance processes to ensure the
required regulations and standards are met.
