To appoint Project Centre Limited as principal highway design contractor for detailed scheme design.

Reasons for the decision

Three highway design contractors have supplied quotes to undertake this work. Project Centre Limited supplied the lowest cost and best value quote.

Alternative options considered

Not progressing with early detailed design work at this point would make it impossible for the council to deliver the junction improvements within the funding window. Three quotes were received from highway design firms and the chosen proposal represented lowest cost and best value (with regards cost of full detailed design works).
