Purpose: To approve letting of the first floor of Dockside, east wing, to London Ambulance Service.  

Content: Decision   For the reasons set out in the report and its appendices Cabinet RESOLVED to Agree:   i)  For a new lease to be granted to London Ambulance Service for the 4th floor, East Wing, at Building 1000 Dockside Road on the terms in Exempt Appendix 1; and   ii)  To delegate authority to the Corporate Director of Resources in consultation with the Lead Member for Finance and Resources to negotiate and finalise the terms and legal documentation required to complete the lease.   Alternatives Considered   a)  Not proceeding with the proposed letting would remove the opportunity for the Council to increase its income and reduce its costs associated with retaining the vacant office space. b)  The Council has engaged letting agents to find new tenants for the vacant space in Dockside and while there is interest from other tenants, this is not on better terms and could be accommodated on the remaining vacant third floor if a letting is agreed in the future.  Therefore, there is no lost opportunity to the Council from proceeding with the proposal in this report.
