Purpose: This report recommends the award of the Local Stop Smoking Services Additional Support Grant for 2025/26 to Camden and North West London NHS Foundation Trust providing the Breathe community stop smoking service, totalling £234,819.   In February 2025 Cabinet delegated authority to the Director of Health and Wellbeing, following consultation with the Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care, to renew the grant annually until 2028-29 subject to satisfactory performance and funding being received from the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID).   The Breathe community stop smoking service has continued to perform well, increasing the number of quit attempts and the proportion of attempts that are successful in 2024/24.   OHID has confirmed funding of £234,819 for the Local Stop Smoking Services and Additional Support Grant in 2025/26. The grant must be used to invest in enhancing local authority commissioned stop smoking services and support, in addition to and while maintaining existing spend on these services and support via the public health grant.
