Purpose: Approval of the joint West London Waste Plan, taken forward by the waste planning authorities in West London (LB Brent, LB Ealing, LB Harrow, LB Hillingdon, LB Hounslow, LB Richmond upon Thames, and the Old Oak Common and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC), for the first round of statutory public consultation (Regulation 18), noting the findings of the evidence base and other supporting documents.
Content: RESOLVED that the Environment, Sustainability, Culture & Sport Committee 2.1 Approve the Draft West London Waste Plan (Appendix 1) for public consultation (to be accompanied by associated Integrated Impact Assessment and Habitats Regulation Assessment) under Regulation 18 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 for a minimum period of six weeks in accordance with the Council’s adopted Statement of Community Involvement. 2.2 Delegate to the Head of Spatial Planning agreement of the final version of the Regulation 18 version of the West London Waste Plan (WLWP) for public consultation (including minor text, layout and design changes as well as changes needed for clarification and for consultation purposes), and other supporting material to be produced for consultation purposes, in consultation with the Chair of the Environment, Sustainability, Culture and Sports Committee. 2.3 Note the annual cost of £61,500 per annum to cover the Council’s contribution to the West London Waste Plan joint costs and associated resource requirements for 2025/26-2027/28 as outlined in paragraphs 3.26 – 3.28.
