Purpose: Fees and charges are reviewed annually as part of the Council’s budget setting process.  This ensures that they are set at the appropriate level for the prevailing economic conditions and represent good practice in terms of the Council’s aim to provide value for money.     This report requests Cabinet to approve the fees and charges across the Council for the financial year 2026-27, to the extent that they fall within the authority of the Executive to determine.

Content: For the reasons set out in the report and its appendices, including the equalities impact assessment at Appendix 2, the Executive Mayor and Cabinet AGREED to:   2.1 Approve the fees and charges as set out in Appendix 1 to the extent that they fall within the authority of the Executive to determine.   2.2 In the event of substantive unanticipated changes to the costs of delivering the discretionary services and subject to appropriate consultation with those impacted, compliance with notice periods required and due consideration of equalities impacts, approve delegation for further in-year amendments to fees and charges (including introduction of new fees and charges) for the financial year 2026-27, to the relevant Corporate Director following consultation with the relevant Cabinet Member and the Executive Mayor.
