Open Council Network is an independent organisation. We report on Hammersmith and Fulham and are not the council. About us
The Cabinet of Hammersmith and Fulham Council is scheduled to meet on Monday 15 June 2026. The meeting agenda includes a discussion on the Settled and Belong Strategy 2026-30,
which outlines the council's approach to supporting looked-after children and young people. Additionally, a Key Decisions List
is scheduled for review, which will provide an overview of significant decisions to be considered by the Cabinet.
Settled and Belong Strategy 2026-30
A significant item on the agenda is the proposed Settled and Belong Strategy 2026-30.
This strategy details how the council intends to fulfil its statutory duty to provide accommodation and support for looked-after children within the borough. The strategy's overarching ambition is to improve outcomes for children and young people by focusing on three key areas: keeping families together, ensuring loving and stable homes, and supporting young people to thrive into adulthood. The report pack indicates that the experiences of care-experienced children and young people have shaped the priorities and actions within this strategy, with feedback from young people and carers continually informing the approach. The strategy is presented as a public commitment to the council's responsibilities as corporate parents, aiming to provide transparency and drive improvements in provision from early intervention through to leaving care. The report highlights that the strategy will be reviewed and updated regularly to reflect changes in the national, regional, and local context.
Key Decisions List
The meeting will also consider a Key Decisions List.
This list provides an overview of significant decisions that the Cabinet, Cabinet Members, or Chief Officers intend to consider. These decisions are typically those likely to result in expenditure or savings exceeding £300,000, affect communities across two or more wards, or impact the council's budget and policy framework. The list includes a wide range of proposed decisions across various council portfolios, such as the Adult Social Care Independent Living Strategy, Capital Programme Monitor and Budget Variations, Local Plan Regulation 19 Consultation, Revenue Outturn Report, and various housing, environment, and community safety initiatives. The report pack notes that all Key Decisions will be subject to a three-day call-in period before implementation.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at the Clockwork Building (Ground Floor), 45 Beavor Lane, W6 9AR, and will be available to watch live on YouTube.
