The Wormwood Scrubs Charitable Trust Committee is scheduled to convene on Wednesday 17 June 2026. The meeting's agenda includes the potential appointment of co-opted members, a review of the manager's report, and the confirmation of the date for the next meeting.
Appointment of Co-opted Members
The committee is scheduled to consider the appointment of Sir Stephen Waley-Cohen and Faye Thomas as non-voting co-opted members.
Manager's Report
A significant portion of the meeting is set to be dedicated to the manager's report, which is expected to cover a range of operational and strategic matters. This report will include an update on the AEM Masterplan contract award, detailing the progress of the HS21 funded project. The committee will be asked to delegate authority to the Chair to award capital and maintenance contracts related to this masterplan. Discussions are also scheduled regarding an indexed increase to the Grounds Maintenance Contract for its final year, with submissions for a new contract expected in July 2026.
Further items within the manager's report are anticipated to include an update on the completion of athletics improvement works at the Linford Christie Outdoor Sports Stadium2, and progress on play area improvements at Braybrook Street. The establishment of a new BMX club through a three-year partnership with Community Cycle Works CIC3 is also on the agenda, with plans to enhance the existing cycling facility.
The committee will receive an update on Community Safety across the Wormwood Scrubs estate, detailing activities undertaken by the Law Enforcement Team (LET)4. This will include information on weapon sweeps, anti-social behaviour patrols, and dog-related Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) enforcement. The report will also highlight the consultation process for the renewal of the Responsible Dog Ownership PSPO.
Finally, the manager's report is expected to provide a review of the WSCT Financial Outturn for 2025/26 and a comparison with the 2026/27 forecast. This will involve a detailed examination of income and expenditure, including figures for Pay and Display Meters, Hammersmith Hospital Car Park Licence, and other income sources, alongside expenditure on grounds maintenance, contributions to the Linford Christie Stadium, and various other projects. The financial forecast for 2026/27 will also be presented, outlining anticipated income and expenditure, including planned improvements to facilities such as the BMX track, play areas, and the Linford Christie Stadium.
