Open Council Network is an independent organisation. We report on Waltham Forest and are not the council. About us
The Council meeting on Thursday 12 December 2013 unanimously resolved to grant the Freedom of the Borough to four individuals in recognition of their long-standing service to the community. The meeting also noted that no requests for filming were received and no declarations of interest were made.
Freedom of the Borough
The council unanimously agreed to award the Freedom of the Borough to The Rev. Raymond Draper-St Johns, Yusuf Hansa Noor-ul-Islam, Councillor Laurie Braham, and Councillor Michael Lewis. This honour is bestowed in recognition of the eminent services they have rendered to the Borough over many years and as an expression of the high esteem in which they are held by the Council.
1 The council also resolved to affix its Common Seal to the certificates that will be presented to these individuals upon their admission as honorary freemen.
