The Licensing Act 2003 Sub-Committee granted the application for a premises licence for St Marys, Church End, Walthamstow, E17 9RJ on 11 September 2026. The decision approved the application in full, including agreed conditions and an imposed condition that the sale and consumption of alcohol in external areas must stop at 21:00. The Sub-Committee also recommended that the applicant provide a monthly schedule of events to local Almshouses and limit smokers in designated areas to eight people, ensuring they are at least 20m from residential boundaries.

The Licensing Act 2003 Sub-Committee of Waltham Forest Council granted the premises licence application in full on 20 July 2026. The premises is permitted to operate for late night refreshment and be open to the public from Monday to Sunday, 23:00 to 02:00. The sub-committee recommended that the applicant discuss joint monitoring of delivery drivers with local businesses and proactively engage with nearest neighbours, offering a point of contact.

The Licensing Act 2003 Sub-Committee decided to modify the conditions on the premises licence for Duos Lounge, 662-664 Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, on 17 July 2026. The decision included adding conditions for a noise-limiting device, prohibiting external speakers, and recommending no drum playing after 11 p.m. The premises licence holder is to organise a meeting with those who made representations, and the Council's Air Quality & Environmental Protection Service will make regular visits to ensure compliance.

The Chief Executive, in consultation with the Leader of the Council, agreed to make interim appointments to two senior positions. Temitope Ademosu was appointed interim Strategic Director Stronger Communities, and Ian Billham was appointed interim Corporate Director Community Safety and Resilience. These appointments were made under the Council's Urgency Provisions on 2 September 2024.

The Council, on 21 May 2026, noted the persons elected as Councillors on 7 May 2026.

Cabinet, on 2 June 2026, agreed a procurement strategy to re-tender two housing repairs partner contracts. Authority was delegated to the Strategic Director of Place, in consultation with the Strategic Director of Resources and the Housing Portfolio Lead Member, to agree the final terms and conditions of these contracts.

Cabinet, on 2 June 2026, adopted the Residential Alterations and Retrofit Supplementary Planning Document. Authority was given to the Corporate Director of Regeneration, Planning & Strategic Property to make any necessary typographical or graphic amendments prior to publication. The existing Residential Extensions and Alterations Supplementary Planning Document was revoked upon adoption.

The Council of Waltham Forest approved the Scheme of Members' allowances for 2026-27 on 16 July 2026. The scheme agreed in February 2025 and February 2026 will remain in effect until at least 31 March 2027. This includes changes to Opposition Group Special Responsibility Allowances.
