A new premises licence application was scheduled for The Devonshire Arms, which encompasses Unit 1 at 5-6 Sherwood Street and premises at 18-19 Denman Street. This location is in the West End ward and is designated as a Cumulative Impact Area.

Unit A, 4 Glasshouse Street, W1B 5DQ

The committee was set to consider a new premises licence application for Unit A at 4 Glasshouse Street. This site is in the West End ward and falls within a Cumulative Impact Area and a Special Consideration Zone.

Restaurant at Roof Level, 19 Shaftesbury Avenue, W1D 7ED

A new premises licence application for a restaurant at roof level, located at 19 Shaftesbury Avenue, was also on the agenda. This premises is in the West End ward, within a Cumulative Impact Area and a Special Consideration Zone.

Policy and Guidance Considerations

In considering these applications, the Licensing Sub-Committee was scheduled to have regard to the City of Westminster's Statement of Licensing Policy, which became effective in January 2021. Additionally, the committee was to consider guidance issued by the Secretary of State under Section 182 of the Licensing Act 2003, with the most recent version published in April 2018.

The agenda also outlined the core hours during which customers are permitted to be on licensed premises, as defined in the Council's Statement of Licensing Policy 2021.
