The Licensing Subcommittee of Tower Hamlets Council met on Tuesday 11 April 2023 to discuss an application for a review of the premises licence for the London Cocktail Club. Following discussions and a short adjournment, the subcommittee agreed to a further adjournment until 1pm to allow for further discussions between parties.

Review of Premises Licence for London Cocktail Club

The subcommittee considered an application for a review of the premises licence for the London Cocktail Club, located at 9 Cabot Square, Canary Wharf, London E14 4EB. The review was initiated by the Metropolitan Police, with supporting evidence provided in the agenda. The premises licence was originally granted on 21 March 2022, with London Cocktail Club Limited as the licence holder. Emma Heaney was the Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) until a variation on 10 January 2023 appointed Simon Charles Kennington to the role.

Corinne Holland, the licensing officer, introduced the report, noting that there were two representations made in support of the premises. The subcommittee was also provided with supplementary information from the premises licence holder's representative.

Councillor Peter Golds, Chair of the Licensing Subcommittee, proposed an adjournment of 15 minutes to allow for discussions between the parties involved. This was agreed, and following further discussions, the subcommittee agreed to reconvene at 1pm to continue the hearing.
