The Alexandra Park and Palace Joint Advisory & Consultative Committee was scheduled to meet on Thursday 25 January 2024. The meeting's agenda included a public engagement exercise regarding The Grove
and a discussion on filming at meetings.
The Grove Public Engagement Exercise
Representatives from Unit 38 and Studio Hyte were scheduled to introduce plans for a public engagement project concerning The Grove
. This project is part of ongoing efforts to involve the community in the development and management of areas within Alexandra Park and Palace.
Filming at Meetings
The committee was scheduled to discuss the policy on filming at meetings. Attendees were to be informed that meetings may be filmed or recorded for broadcast via the Council's internet site. This includes members of the public who participate in the meeting, such as by making deputations or asking questions. By entering the meeting room, individuals would be consenting to being filmed and to the possible use of these recordings. The Chair of the meeting would retain the discretion to terminate or suspend filming if it was deemed to disrupt proceedings, prejudice the meeting, infringe on individual rights, or lead to a breach of a legal obligation by the Council.
The meeting was also scheduled to include the appointment of a Chair, receive apologies for absence, and allow for declarations of interest. A period for questions was also listed on the agenda.
