The Surrey Police and Crime Panel Complaints Sub-Committee was scheduled to meet on Monday 1 June 2026 to discuss complaints made against the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey. The meeting was intended to seek informal resolutions for these complaints.
Complaint Against the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey
The sub-committee was scheduled to consider a complaint against the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey. This item, detailed in pages 1-22 of the public reports pack1, was to be addressed in accordance with the Elected Local Policing Bodies (Complaints and Misconduct) Regulations 20122 and the Panel's agreed Complaints Protocol. The aim was to seek an informal resolution for the complaint.
Complaint 0068 and Commissioner's Response
Further to the general complaint, the sub-committee was also scheduled to review Complaint 0068
(pages 23-30 of the public reports pack). Additionally, a response from the Police and Crime Commissioner to Complaint 0068 was to be considered (pages 31-40 of the public reports pack). Both of these items were marked as confidential and not for publication under Paragraph 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, which pertains to information relating to any individual.
Exclusion of the Public and Publicity of Part Two Items
A recommendation was to be considered to exclude the public from the meeting for certain items. This was proposed under Section 100(A) of the Local Government Act 19723, on the grounds that these items involved the likely disclosure of exempt information. Following this, the sub-committee was to consider whether the items discussed in Part 2 of the agenda should be made available to the press and public.
