The Licensing Panel of North Northamptonshire Council met on Monday 24 August 2026 to consider applications for Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver Licences. The panel approved an application for a Private Hire Driver Licence and agreed that a licence holder remained a fit and proper person to continue holding both Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver Licences. A separate hearing concerning a Hackney Carriage Licence was adjourned to a future date.

Driver Licence Applications

The panel considered three hearings related to driver licences.

In the first hearing, concerning an application for a Private Hire Driver Licence by an individual identified as LS, the panel resolved to approve the application.

The second hearing, scheduled for 10:45 am, was for the consideration of fitness of an individual, MZ, to hold a Hackney Carriage Licence. The panel resolved to adjourn this hearing to a future date.

The third hearing, at 11:30 am, involved an individual identified as MM, who was seeking to continue holding both a Hackney Carriage Driver Licence and a Private Hire Driver Licence. The panel resolved that MM remained a fit and proper person to hold both licences.
