The Appointments Committee met to appoint a new Director of Housing, Quality and Investment. They appointed Chris Brown, and agreed to delegate authority to the Director of People and Organisational Development to offer the role to other candidates in the event that Chris Brown withdraws. The committee also confirmed the minutes of its previous meeting on 11 July 2024.

Appointment of Director of Housing, Quality and Investment

The Committee met in private to discuss the appointment of a new Director of Housing, Quality and Investment. The meeting was held in private because it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information under Schedule 12(A) of the Local Government Act 1972.
The Committee resolved to appoint Chris Brown to the role.

RESOLVED that (i) Chris Brown be appointed the Director of Housing, Quality and Investment, and (ii) In the event that Chris Brown withdraws from the process or the appointment is not concluded, delegated authority be given to the Director of People and Organisational Development, to offer the role to the Committee’s reserve candidates in order of preference.
