This meeting will include six appeals against previous decisions made by Kent County Council. The appeals all concern transport decisions and are scheduled to be heard in private.

Appeal 1

This appeal concerns the refusal by Kent County Council to allow a new junction to be built from the A28 Canterbury Road onto land at Highland Court Farm, Bridge, near Canterbury. Permission to build 150 houses on the land was granted in 2021, conditional upon a new junction being built. The appellant, Quinn Estates¹, argue that the previous refusal was unlawful and that it had a material effect on the outcome of the application.

Quinn Estates is a property developer based in Kent. They are known for building large housing developments.

Appeal 2

This concerns an application to build a new roundabout on the A20 at Harrietsham.

Appeal 3

This concerns an application to build a new access road to the John Lewis Depot in Aylesford.

Appeal 4

This concerns an application for a new pedestrian crossing near Knole Academy in Sevenoaks.

Appeal 5

This appeal concerns an application to build a new access road to a proposed development of 200 houses in Coxheath.

Appeal 6

This appeal concerns an application for a new taxi rank in Tunbridge Wells.
