The Planning Board approved full planning permission for the removal and replacement of combustible materials in the external cladding of several buildings within the original phases 1 & 2 of Greenwich Millennium Village. The affected buildings are Maurer Court, Metcalfe Court, Faraday Lodge, Alamaro Lodge, Da Vinci Lodge, Newton Lodge, Holly Court and New Becquerel Court.

The approval is subject to the conditions set out in Appendix 2 of the report and its addendum, with an amendment to Condition 7 regarding materials. The Sto Render Grain should be colour matched to the original vibrant colour pallet on the Faraday, Alamaro & Newton blocks (in Phase 2) to maintain the original architectural design ideal of these iconic blocks.

An additional informative was added, advising the applicant and management company to engage in discussions with residents to investigate the feasibility of using Parklex Prodema GRCLAD-B as a potential alternative replacement material for the existing Cedar Wood cladding on the Faraday Lodge, Alamaro Lodge & Maurer Court blocks.
