Chief Executive's Vision and Goals Update
Emma Dagnes OBE, Chief Executive of Alexandra Park & Palace, was scheduled to provide an update on the progress made in the new financial year, aligning with the Trust's vision to Create a Sustainable Home for All That We Do.
The report highlights work undertaken in line with the Trust's goals, which can be found in appendix 1 of the Vision and Goals Update Report.
The update was expected to cover:
- Entertainment and Culture: Alexandra Palace was awarded the Attitude is Everything Platinum Award, recognising it as an industry leader in accessibility alongside the O2 and the Southbank Centre.
- Heritage Assets: A presentation was scheduled to discuss conservation work on the east side of the Palace and the replacement of heritage park lighting. An LBC application1 for redecorations was due to be prepared, focusing on completing work on the East and West entrances and painting external joinery heritage green. Further LBC applications were expected over the summer for lead capping to the parapet walls, lead detailing to the scrolls above the East Court entrance, and secondary glazing to the CUFOS building2.
- Community Engagement: A presentation was scheduled to showcase the work and impact of the Creative Learning Team.
- New Partnerships: The BBC Concert Orchestra officially confirmed its partnership with Alexandra Palace as the Palace's first Associate Orchestra.
Overall Resilience: A presentation on fundraising was scheduled.
The report also noted that discussions with the Greater London Authority (GLA) were ongoing regarding Alexandra Palace's approach to net zero3. Alexandra Palace had applied for two support schemes: the Zero Carbon Accelerator Scheme (ZCA) and the Green Finance Fund (GFF).
The Haringey Community Carbon Fund awarded a grant to the Trust to install secondary double glazing and draft proofing in the old station building (CUFOS) to reduce heat loss and improve the building's energy performance.
