The Audit and Corporate Governance (Staff Appeals) Sub-Committee of Camden Council met on 2 October 2025 to discuss an appeal against dismissal by a former employee, and to approve the minutes of their previous meeting. Councillors were also asked to consider excluding the public and press from part of the meeting during the discussion of the appeal.

Appeal Against Dismissal
The sub-committee was scheduled to consider an appeal against dismissal submitted by a former employee of Camden Council. The Public Reports Pack included the following documents relating to the appeal:
- Papers submitted by the appellant
- A case summary and response to the grounds of appeal
- Documentation considered at the formal meeting
Exclusion of Public and Press
The sub-committee was asked to pass a resolution to exclude members of the public and press from the part of the meeting discussing the appeal against dismissal. According to the Agenda Frontsheet, this was because the discussion was:
likely in view of the nature of the proceedings that, were members of the public to be present, there would be disclosure of exempt information as defined in Category 1 of schedule 12A to the Local Government Act. Specifically, publicity in respect of Item 7 would be likely to lead to the disclosure of information relating to a particular employee or former employee of the Council.
Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 defines categories of exempt information that can be kept private. Category 1 relates to information about an individual.
Approval of Minutes
The sub-committee was scheduled to approve and sign the minutes of the meeting held on 1 May 2025.
