The Swansea Council Scrutiny Inquiry Panel - Grants met on Tuesday, 23 September 2025, to hear from grant providers, including Public Health Wales and the Police and Crime Commissioners Office, and to receive an update from Amanda Carr, Director of Swansea Council for Voluntary Service (SCVS). The panel also noted progress with the Inquiry Project Plan.

Grant Providers

The Scrutiny Inquiry Panel - Grants heard from grant providers, including representatives from Public Health Wales and the Police and Crime Commissioners Office. The panel asked a number of questions, which were addressed. Evidence from this meeting will form part of the evidence pack that the Panel will use to discuss its conclusions at the end of the inquiry. This pack will also be published online at that time. The panel also received a written submission from the Welsh Government answering a set of questions sent to them.

Swansea Council for Voluntary Service (SCVS)

Amanda Carr, Director of Swansea Council for Voluntary Service (SCVS), attended the meeting to provide an update on the work of the SCVS. SCVS is an organisation that supports the third sector in Swansea, providing training, advice, and funding information to voluntary organisations, charities, and social enterprises.

The panel noted progress with the Inquiry Project Plan, as detailed in the Project Plan as at 24 June 25.
