The Senior Remuneration Sub-Committee was scheduled to meet to discuss the Town Clerk and Chief Executive's appraisal and remuneration package. The meeting was also scheduled to agree the minutes of a previous meeting, and to discuss any other urgent business.
Town Clerk and Chief Executive
The committee was scheduled to consider a report from the Interim Chief People Officer regarding the Town Clerk and Chief Executive, Ian Thomas CBE's appraisal for 2024/25. They were also scheduled to discuss Mr Thomas's remuneration package, with a report from the Interim Chief People Officer provided for review. According to the agenda, a hard copy of this report was available for inspection by appointment with Polly Dunn, Assistant Town Clerk.
Exclusion of the Public
The agenda included a motion to exclude the public from the meeting during discussion of certain items. This was scheduled to be done under Section 100 (A) of the Local Government Act 1972, because the items involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part 1 of Schedule 12 A of the Local Government Act1.

The Sub-Committee was scheduled to approve the public minutes and non-public summary of the meeting held on 24 September 2025.
