The Professionalism and Trust Committee (Police) of the City of London Corporation is scheduled to meet on Tuesday 2 December 2025 to discuss updates on equity, diversity, and inclusion, professional standards, and stop and search procedures within the City of London Police. The committee will also review minutes from a previous meeting and address any questions raised by its members. Some items, including non-public minutes and a non-public appendix to the professional standards update, may be discussed in a session excluding the public.

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Update

The committee is scheduled to receive an update on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) within the City of London Police. This will include a review of the City of London Police's EDI Strategy 2024-2027, including the status of year 1 priority actions, and an overview of the Inclusivity Programme from July to September 2025.

The EDI strategy is built around four themes:

• Workforce representation
• Inclusive culture
• Community confidence
• Leadership and accountability

Professional Standards, Conduct, and Vetting Update

The committee is scheduled to discuss a report on professional standards, conduct, and vetting within the City of London Police for the second quarter of the year. This discussion will cover gifts and hospitality received by members of the City of London Police, as well as memberships held by the Professional Standards Department (PSD). A non-public appendix related to this item is also included for review in a session excluding the public.

Stop & Search and Use of Force Update

The committee is scheduled to receive an update on stop and search and use of force by the City of London Police for the second quarter of the year (July to September 2025).

The committee will receive a joint report of the Town Clerk and the Commissioner.

Minutes

The committee will be asked to agree the public minutes of the meeting held on 14 October 2025. The non-public minutes from the same meeting are also scheduled to be agreed in a session excluding the public.

The committee will consider a motion to exclude the public from the meeting for specific items of business, as they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part I of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972¹.
