The Awards, Grants and Transport (Appeals) Committee of Doncaster Council was scheduled to convene on Friday, 5th December 2025, to address an application for transport assistance and review the minutes from a prior meeting. Councillor Gerald Squire was scheduled to chair the meeting.

Application for Transport Assistance

The committee was scheduled to consider an application for transport assistance. The report pack noted that the report and appendices related to this matter contained exempt information by virtue of Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972¹, pertaining to information about an individual.

The committee had previously convened to discuss an application for transport assistance on two occasions in October 2020. According to the minutes of the meetings on 6th October and 15th October, the committee considered an appeal in relation to a request for home to school transport assistance, in respect of Case No. 1214. The meetings included representations from the appellant and the Pupil Support and Passenger Transport Manager. Ultimately, the appeal was refused because the committee was not persuaded that there was sufficient reason to uphold the decision.
