The outcome was that the appellant would be reinstated to their position, with the disciplinary action reduced from its original form to a final written warning. This decision was made in accordance with Part I of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972, which allows for the exclusion of the press and public when information relating to an individual is being discussed.
