The Crime, Environment, and Transport Scrutiny Commission met to discuss parking policy, sustainable transport, major projects and highways. Councillors reviewed updates to the borough's parking policy, examined the implementation of the sustainable transport strategy, and evaluated major transport and highway projects. The commission also reviewed and noted its work programme for the year.
Crime, Environment and Transport Scrutiny Commission - Tuesday 25th February 2025 7.00 p.m.
The Commission noted the draft Air Quality Action Plan 2025-2030, and the accompanying report from officers. It also noted the report on the council's Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) services. It agreed that the Air Quality Action Plan 2025-2030 should go out to public consultation, and made a number of recommendations about both reports to the relevant Cabinet members and officers.
Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Commission - Tuesday 28th January 2025 7.00 p.m.
This meeting of Newham Council's Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Commission was scheduled to receive updates on the impact of national developments on local services, discuss the role and impact of health literacy within Newham's health and care system, consider the outcomes of Newham's Adult Social Care Peer Review, and review the Commission's work programme for the 2024/25 municipal year.
