The Employment Subcommittee of North Northamptonshire Council met on Friday 26 June 2026 to elect a Chair and discuss the appointment of an Executive Director of Children's Services. Councillor Ash Hall was elected as the Chair of the subcommittee. Following interviews, the subcommittee agreed that the Director of Human Resources and Organisational Design should be informed of the most suitable candidate for the Executive Director of Children's Services role.

At the annual meeting of North Northamptonshire Council, Councillor Helen Campbell was elected as Chair of the Council, and Councillor Maurice Eglin was appointed as Vice-Chair. Councillors also noted the election results from 1 May, which saw Reform UK gain a majority on the council, and they approved committee memberships and appointments to outside bodies.
