The Place Scrutiny Committee was scheduled to meet to confirm the minutes of a previous meeting and to receive a presentation on the council's preparedness for flooding and severe weather. The meeting was open to the public, who were allowed to submit questions in advance.

Extraordinary meeting, Council - Thursday, 13 November 2025 4.00 pm, NEW

The council met to discuss and vote on a recommendation to be put to the cabinet regarding local government reorganisation, and ultimately voted to support a single unitary council for the whole Derby and Derbyshire area. The council also agreed to delegate authority to the Interim Chief Executive, Simon Stevens, in discussion with Councillor Alan Graves, Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Strategic Leadership, to make any amendments and additions to the submission document following feedback from the full council.

Derbyshire Police and Crime Panel - Thursday, 6 November 2025 10.00 am

The Derbyshire Police and Crime Panel met to discuss the Police and Crime Commissioner's finance update, efforts to bring offenders to justice, a review of the Police and Crime Plan, the annual report, responses to member questions, and maternity arrangements for the Police and Crime Commissioner.

Council - Wednesday, 8 October 2025 2.00 pm

Derbyshire County Council met to discuss a range of issues, including budget revisions, appointments, and a motion opposing large-scale solar farms. The council approved revisions to the constitution, appointed an interim chief executive, and supported a motion to oppose large-scale solar farms on greenfield sites.

The Place Scrutiny Committee was scheduled to meet to discuss the East Midlands Combined County Authority [^2] (EMCCA) and the transition of transport functions to it. The committee was expected to receive an update on the progress of EMCCA and the transfer of transport responsibilities from Derbyshire County Council.
