The Climate Change & Nature Recovery Service Transformation Committee approved recommendations on 07/09/2026. The committee noted progress towards the declaration of 14 new Local Nature Reserves on Council-owned land across Swansea. The Council will proceed with the declaration of these 14 LNRs, with formal declaration intended to be considered by Cabinet in January 2027 and all declarations completed by March 2027.

The Climate Change & Nature Recovery Service Transformation Committee approved the minutes of the previous meeting on 13 July 2026. The committee received an update on the development of the County Green Infrastructure Strategy. The committee noted the installation of green roofs, green walls, rainwater management systems, bioretention rain gardens, and wildflower and tree planting projects.
