The Children's Social Care Cabinet Panel met in September to discuss the Children's Social Care performance report for Quarter 1, the annual complaints and compliments report, the Children's Services recruitment, retention and workforce, and the Household Support Fund 7. The panel noted the reports and provided comments.

County Council - Tuesday, 22 July 2025 10.00 am

The Hertfordshire County Council met to discuss a range of issues, including political proportionality, traffic congestion, youth justice, and local government reorganisation, and ultimately voted to continue exploring options for local government reorganisation, while also agreeing to re-establish a youth parliament. The council also paid tribute to former Councillor Alan Plancy, MBE, who recently passed away.

Cabinet - Monday, 21 July 2025 2.00 pm

The Hertfordshire County Council Cabinet met to discuss a range of issues, including budget pressures, home-to-school transport, and the relocation of council meetings. They approved the Day Services Strategy 2025-2030, the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA) annual report, and the Children and Young People's Strategic Plan 2026-2031. The cabinet also agreed to provide additional capital funding for special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) school projects, and to move democratic meetings to Stevenage and market County Hall for alternative uses.

Health and Wellbeing Board - Thursday, 17 July 2025 9.30 am

The Health and Wellbeing Board of Hertfordshire County Council was scheduled to meet on 17 July 2025, at the Focolare Centre for Unity in Welwyn Garden City. The agenda included discussion of a constitution change, stakeholder engagement feedback, integrated delivery plans, and the health risks of damp and mould.

The Children's Social Care Cabinet Panel met to discuss the Children's Social Care 2024/25 Quarter 4 Performance Report, and to endorse the Children and Young People's Strategic Plan 2026-2031 for approval at Cabinet. The panel noted the performance report, and endorsed the strategic plan for approval at the next cabinet meeting.
