The committee noted the refreshed Community Safety Agreement for April 2025, along with the year-end action plan and performance summary for 2024/25, and agreed to note partners for their hard work. Discussions covered actions undertaken over the previous year, emerging issues, and the importance of collaboration among various agencies to manage crime and disorder across Kent.

Devolution and Local Government Re-organisation Cabinet Committee - Tuesday, 30th September, 2025 10.30 am

The Devolution and Local Government Re-organisation Cabinet Committee met to discuss the ongoing collaborative work on local government reorganisation (LGR) across Kent and Medway, and to consider Kent County Council's (KCC) proposed position. The committee agreed to note the collaborative work to date and KCC's commitment to continued engagement, but did not support an amendment to oppose a single unitary authority for Kent and Medway. Members also discussed key financial statistics related to the reorganisation.

Personnel Committee - Tuesday, 23rd September, 2025 2.00 pm

The Personnel Committee of Kent Council scheduled a meeting to discuss workforce and employee relations, and to evaluate the council's people strategy. The committee was expected to review reports on workforce profiles, employee relations activities, and the progress of the People Strategy 2022/27. Some items, regarding discretionary payments, the Chief Executive recruitment update, and senior management structure, were marked as exempt and were likely to be discussed in a session closed to the public.
