Cabinet - Wednesday, 29th January, 2025 4.30 pm

This meeting of the Royal Borough of Greenwich’s Cabinet will consider a range of topics including the acquisition of five NHS-owned care homes, a proposal to reduce the amount of council tax support provided to residents of working age, the council’s revenue position, and a plan to lease privately owned properties for use as temporary accommodation.

Council - Wednesday, 29th January, 2025 7.00 pm

The Council agreed to reduce the maximum level of support available through the Local Council Tax Support Scheme 2025-26 from 100% to 80% and agreed to reduce the time before charging a Council Tax Premium to unfurnished and unoccupied properties from 2 years to 12 months. They also noted the appointment of Councillor Sandra Bauer as the new Cabinet Member for Equality, Culture and Communities, and voted to adopt a motion on protecting leaseholders from the cost of fire safety remediation work.

General Purposes Committee - Thursday, 23rd January, 2025 6.30 pm

The meeting agreed the salary range for the Director of Public Health, and noted the Chief Executive's authority to establish an appointments panel. The meeting also agreed the salary ranges for eight new positions in the Resources Directorate.

Overview & Scrutiny Call-in Sub-Committee - Wednesday, 8th January, 2025 7.00 pm

The sub-committee voted to uphold the Cabinet's decision to approve the disposal of the Greenwich Equestrian Centre and 28 Merriworth Drive in Shooters Hill.

General Purposes Committee - Thursday, 12th December, 2024 6.30 pm

The meeting covered two main topics: declarations of interest from councillors, and the establishment of an appointments panel for a set of vacant positions in the Place & Growth directorate.
