Non-Strategic Planning Committee - Thursday 3rd July 2025 6.00 pm

The West Northamptonshire Council Non-Strategic Planning Committee met on Thursday, 3 July 2025, to discuss several planning applications. The committee approved a change of use for a former bank in Towcester, a children's home in Northampton, and an expansion of a house in multiple occupation (HiMO), also in Northampton. A decision on the redevelopment of a farmyard in Scaldwell was deferred for a site visit, and a plan for alterations to a property in Steane was approved.

Council - Thursday 26th June 2025 5.00 pm

West Northamptonshire Council was scheduled to meet on 26 June 2025 at The Great Hall at The Guildhall, Northampton. The agenda included the presentation of annual reports from overview and scrutiny committees, a review of the council's flag protocol, and a discussion on setting allowances for council members. Councillors were also expected to discuss regional devolution, youth services, and support for children in care.

Cabinet - Tuesday 24th June 2025 6.00 pm

The West Northamptonshire Council Cabinet met on 24 June 2025, and among other things, they discussed the 2024-25 revenue and capital outturn positions, future management options for council housing stock, and a report from the Corporate Overview and Scrutiny Committee. They approved a new delivery strategy for the Avenue Campus housing project, and also approved the procurement of a statutory advocacy contract.

Adult Social Care, Health and Communities Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Monday 23rd June 2025 6.00 pm

The Adult Social Care, Health and Communities Overview and Scrutiny Committee were scheduled to meet to discuss their remit, key priorities, risks, and challenges for service areas, and to develop a work programme for the 2025-26 municipal year. The meeting was to include an overview of adult social care and community safety, with public health and culture, leisure, and communities to be discussed at a later meeting.

Planning Policy Committee - Wednesday 18th June 2025 6.00 pm

The West Northamptonshire Council Planning Policy Committee was scheduled to convene to discuss a draft Statement of Community Involvement and respond to a consultation from Rugby Borough Council regarding their local plan. The committee was also expected to consider whether West Northamptonshire Council could accommodate any unmet need for Gypsy and Traveller pitches from Rugby Borough.
